Creation of Kent State University “Guest” accounts is solely intended for the purpose of granting a single account to a single person who has a legitimate business need to access Kent State University information systems and/or applications.
Guest accounts are intended for use in circumstances where an official, University-assigned, FlashLine account is not available, and the individual for whom the account is being requested is not a current or former Kent State University student, faculty, staff or alumnus.
Available to
Business and educational institution staff partnered with Kent State University, Office of Continuing and Distance Education, to offer credit and non-credit programs.
Requirements
In order to create a guest user account, the following information is required:
- Phone
- Email
- Address
- Date of Birth
- Reason for request
- List of applications to which the user will need access
Note: Users who require access to Banner, CollegeNet, and Slate are required to complete an IT confidentiality form. Please download, complete, and submit with the guest user account request:

What happens next
Kent State Online staff will respond to support tickets during normal work hours, Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, within 1 business day. Guest account creation may take 1-3 business days.
